  • 12 ounces steak Choose a high-quality cut like ribeye or sirloin.
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 sprigs rosemary, minced

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, and minced rosemary.
  • Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it.
  • Seal the bag or cover the dish, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
  • Remove the steak from the marinade and cook as desired (grill, pan-sear, or broil) to desired doneness.

Notes

For a stronger flavor, marinate overnight. Let the steak rest for a few minutes after cooking to retain juiciness. Consider searing the steak first for a crusty texture, then finish cooking in the oven.
