Ingredients
  

Dough and Filling
  • 1 can crescent roll dough (8 pieces) Use your favorite crescent roll dough.
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans Can substitute with walnuts or almonds.
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar Adjust amount for less sweetness if desired.
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup Can be substituted with honey.
  • 1 tsp cinnamon For added flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the crescent roll dough package.
  2. Open the can of crescent roll dough and gently unroll it, separating the dough into individual triangles.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, maple syrup, and cinnamon, mixing well until blended.
Assembly
  1. Place a spoonful of the pecan mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
  2. Roll the dough towards the point, starting from the wide end, to form a crescent shape.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven according to the package instructions or until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving to let the filling set a bit.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or alongside coffee for a perfect treat. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days, or freeze for longer storage.
