  • 2 liters ginger ale Can be substituted with sparkling water for a lighter version.
  • 16 ounces orange juice
  • 4 tablespoons lime zest
  • 6 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 6 whole star anise
  • 5 sprigs thyme Can be swapped with mint for a different herbal flavor.
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries For garnish and flavor.

Preparation
  1. In a large punch bowl, combine the sweetened cranberry juice, ginger ale, and orange juice.
  2. Add the lime zest, cinnamon sticks, star anise, thyme sprigs, and fresh cranberries.
  3. Mix the ingredients gently to blend the flavors.
  4. Add ice to chill the punch thoroughly, or chill all ingredients ahead of time.
  5. For a festive touch, garnish with additional fresh cranberries and thyme sprigs.
  6. Ladle the punch into glasses and serve immediately. For an elegant twist, consider using an ice ring for serving.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Keep additional ice separate to avoid sogginess. Freezing is not recommended due to carbonation.
