  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Fresh herbs can be used for brighter flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic, oregano, black pepper, and salt.
  • Place chicken in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
  • Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Cooking

  • Grill or bake the chicken to your desired doneness.

Notes

Marinate overnight for the best flavor and tenderness. Use fresh herbs for a brighter flavor. Don’t discard the marinade; after heating, it can be used as a sauce or glaze.
