  • 1 slice slice of cheese (American or English cheddar) For melting on the egg
  • 1 slice slice of Canadian bacon Cook until heated through
  • Butter (for toasting) Use for toasting the English muffin
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Preparation

  • Split and toast the English muffin halves.
  • In a nonstick skillet, cook the Canadian bacon for about 1-2 minutes on each side until heated through.
  • In the same skillet, crack an egg and cook it to your desired doneness, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Once the egg is cooked, place the slice of cheese on top to melt slightly.
  • Assemble your Egg McMuffin by layering the Canadian bacon, egg with cheese, and the other half of the toasted muffin.

Notes

Serve your Egg McMuffin warm, straight from the skillet. It pairs well with a cup of coffee or juice for a complete breakfast. If you have leftovers, store the components separately in the fridge.
