Ingredients
  

For the Peach Filling

  • 3 cups sliced peaches Fresh, ripe peaches are recommended.
  • 6 tablespoons sugar For the peach filling.
  • 1 tablespoon self-rising flour For coating the peaches.

For the Cobbler Topping

  • 1/2 cup milk Whole milk is preferable.
  • 1/2 cup sugar For the cobbler topping.
  • 1/2 cup self-rising flour For the cobbler topping.
  • 1/2 stick butter, melted Melted butter for topping mixture.
  • Cinnamon To taste.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Peel and slice the peaches.
  • In a bowl, add 6 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of flour to the sliced peaches and stir well.
  • Pour the peach mixture into a greased baking dish (10.5 X 7 or 9 X 9 pan).
  • In another bowl, combine the melted butter, 1/2 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of self-rising flour, and 1/2 cup of sugar. Stir until smooth.
  • Pour this mixture over the peaches without stirring.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon on top according to your taste.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 38-45 minutes, or until it’s golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and enjoy.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days or refrigerated for up to a week. Reheat in the microwave or oven before serving.
