  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Use good quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
Optional Mix-ins
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chunks Optional for added texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper or aluminum foil, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter over low heat.
  3. Stir continuously until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  5. If desired, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chunks for added texture.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
Serving
  1. Once set, lift fudge out of the dish using the overhanging parchment or foil, and cut into small squares.

Notes

For storage, keep the Easy Fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. For longer storage, freeze wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and then in an airtight container. Thaw in the fridge before serving.
