- In a bowl, mix the granulated sugar, cream cheese, unsalted butter, clear corn syrup, and peppermint extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar a cup at a time, mixing until smooth.
- Divide the mixture in half.
- Add green food coloring to one half and red food coloring to the other half, mixing until the desired shades are achieved.
- Roll small pieces of each colored mixture into balls and flatten them slightly.
- Place mints on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Let them set until firm.
Notes
These mints are best served with hot cocoa or coffee. For presentation, use decorative bowls or small cellophane bags tied with ribbon. They can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or frozen for longer storage.
