- In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant banana pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until the pudding thickens.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping with a spatula until completely combined.
- In a large bowl, layer half of the banana slices.
- Spoon half of the pudding mixture over the bananas, then sprinkle half of the mini vanilla wafers on top.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining banana slices, pudding mixture, and mini vanilla wafers.
- If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans on top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
For a unique twist, experiment with different pudding flavors or use graham crackers instead of vanilla wafers. Store leftovers in an airtight container; best enjoyed within 3-4 days.
