Ingredients
  

For the shrimp

  • 1 pound Shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch Can substitute with potato starch for gluten-free option
  • 1 Egg Acts as a binder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Paprika For added depth
  • 2 cups Oil For frying

For the sauce

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Can substitute with Vegenaise or Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons Sriracha Adjust based on heat preference
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice Optional for freshness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Thaw any frozen shrimp and pat them dry to promote crispiness.
  • In a bowl, beat the egg. In another bowl, combine cornstarch, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Dip each shrimp first in the egg, then coat with the cornstarch mixture.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, pour enough oil for frying and heat on medium until shimmering.
  • Fry shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth.
  • Toss shrimp in the sauce until evenly coated.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Serve with extra sauce on the side for dipping. Can also be baked at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes for a healthier option.
