  • 9 large Granny Smith apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 6 cups cold water

Cake Mixes and Spices

  • 1 package vanilla cake mix
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon apple pie spice

Cream Cheese Mixture

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Butter and Toppings

  • 1/2 cup salted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup butter for greasing baking dish
  • 2 jars lemon curd 12-ounce each
  • Fresh strawberries for serving

Preparation
