Deep Hamburger Sausage & Pepperoni Pie

Ingredients
  

Pie Crust and Toppings

  • 1 unbaked deep-dish pie crust store-bought or homemade
  • 12–15 slices pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Filling

  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 1/2 cups pizza or marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning optional
  • to taste Salt & pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, sausage, and diced onion until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in pizza sauce and season with salt, pepper, and optional Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Assembly

  • Place the pie crust in a deep-dish pie pan.
  • Spoon in half of the meat mixture and sprinkle half of the mozzarella on top.
  • Repeat with the rest of the meat and mozzarella.
  • Top with Parmesan cheese and arrange pepperoni slices on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.
  • Let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For an extra crispy crust, brush the edges of the pie crust with melted butter before baking. Feel free to add your favorite pizza toppings such as bell peppers, mushrooms, or olives to the meat mixture. If you prefer a spicier kick, use spicy sausage or add some red pepper flakes. To store leftovers, cool the pie completely, then wrap it in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Keep it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
