  • 1/2 cup water

  • 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 pieces milk chocolate Hershey bars melted

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • Chocolate shavings, whipped cream, or berries for serving

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven according to the cake mix package instructions.
  • In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, oil, and water. Mix until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake according to package instructions.
  • Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  • Poke holes in the top of the cake using a fork.

Filling

  • In a separate bowl, mix together the sweetened condensed milk and melted chocolate bars.
  • Pour the chocolate mixture over the cake, ensuring it fills the holes.

Topping

  • In another bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  • Spread the whipped chocolate cream over the cake.
  • Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
  • Serve with additional toppings as desired.

Notes

Make sure to poke enough holes in the cake so the chocolate mixture can soak in for extra flavor. Use high-quality chocolate bars for a richer taste. For a different twist, try adding some peanut butter or caramel sauce to the mixture.
