Ingredients
  

For the Hot Chocolate
  • 3.5 cups heavy cream
  • 0.25 cups unsweetened Dutch-processed cocoa powder
  • 4 cups whole milk Can substitute with any preferred milk
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Can use dark chocolate or white chocolate as substitutes
Optional Garnish
  • Mini marshmallows For topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk 1 cup of heavy cream and the cocoa powder until smooth. Set this mixture aside.
  2. In your crockpot, combine the remaining 2 1/2 cups of heavy cream with the whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. Add the cocoa mixture to the crockpot, stirring until well incorporated.
  4. Pour in the chocolate chips and stir until they melt and the mixture is smooth.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for about 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally so all ingredients blend beautifully.
Serving
  1. When ready, serve hot, and top with mini marshmallows for that extra flair if desired.

Notes

Crockpot Hot Chocolate is best served fresh. For a festive touch, sprinkle cocoa powder or serve with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month.
