Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 box Chocolate Cake Mix Use a high-quality boxed mix or homemade chocolate cake recipe.
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk Adds sweetness and moisture.
  • 1 jar Hot Fudge Sauce Should be hot to infuse with the cake.
  • 1 jar Caramel Sauce Adds silky texture and sweetness.
  • 1 cup Chopped Pecans Optional; can substitute with walnuts or omit for nut-free.
  • 1 container Whipped Topping Store-bought is fine; homemade is an upgrade.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Coat the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions and pour it evenly in the greased Crockpot.

Layering

  • Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake batter.
  • Follow with the hot fudge sauce and caramel sauce, allowing them to pool and intermingle beautifully on top.

Cooking

  • Set your Crockpot to the low setting and cook for about 2 to 3 hours without opening the lid.
  • Check for doneness: the edges will pull away from the sides, and the center should be gooey. A toothpick inserted should come out with a few moist crumbs.

Serving

  • Allow to cool for about 20 to 30 minutes, then top with whipped topping, a drizzle of caramel, and a sprinkle of pecans if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Consider using a paper towel under the lid while cooking to absorb moisture.
