Meatloaf Base

  • 1 cup milk (2% or higher)
  • 2 large eggs, well beaten
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 2 packets au jus gravy mix (1 ounce each), divided use
  • 2 packets ranch seasoning mix (1 ounce each), divided use

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine milk, eggs, and sugar. Mix well.
  • Add the au jus gravy mix and ranch seasoning to the bowl and stir until fully incorporated.
  • Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in the crock pot.
  • Pour any remaining mixture over the meatloaf.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the meatloaf reaches the desired doneness.

Notes

For added flavor, incorporate chopped vegetables like onions or bell peppers, or add some crushed red pepper flakes for spiciness. Use lean ground beef or substitute with turkey for a healthier option. For a crusty exterior, finish the meatloaf in the oven for a few minutes after cooking in the crock pot.
