  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix This adds rich flavor.
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning Choose your favorite brand.
  • 1/2 cup real butter For best flavor, avoid substitutes.
  • 1 jar peperoncini peppers Add with juice for flavor.

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the crock pot.
  • Sprinkle the au jus gravy and ranch seasoning over the chicken.
  • Add the butter on top of the seasonings.
  • Pour the peperoncini peppers (with some juice) over the chicken.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  • Shred the chicken with two forks and serve.

Notes

You can serve the chicken over rice, pasta, or on hoagie rolls. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. To reheat, thaw overnight and warm up.
