Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place each pork chop between two layers of plastic wrap and pound them until they're about ½ inch thick.
- Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
Cooking
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown, then transfer to a baking sheet.
- Cook in the preheated oven for an additional 10-15 minutes.
- In the same skillet, cook the bacon until crispy and drain on paper towels.
- Slice the pretzel buns in half and toast them in the oven for a few minutes.
Assembly
- Place a schnitzel on the bottom half of each pretzel bun, top with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and condiments, then add the top bun.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
