Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pound each pork chop between two sheets of plastic wrap until thin.
- Set up your breading station with three shallow dishes: one for flour, one for the beaten eggs, and the last for breadcrumbs.
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Dredge each chop in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
Cooking
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer the cooked chops to a baking sheet and finish cooking in the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes.
- In the same skillet, cook the bacon until crispy.
Assembly
- Slice the pretzel buns in half and toast them in the oven for a few minutes.
- Assemble the sandwiches with a crispy schnitzel on the bottom bun, topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and your choice of condiments. Add the top bun.
Serving
- Serve the crispy schnitzel bacon pretzel sandwiches hot and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers tightly wrapped in plastic wrap or aluminum foil in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. For best texture, reheat schnitzel and bacon in the oven.
