Ingredients
  

For the schnitzel
  • 4 pieces boneless pork chops You can substitute with chicken or turkey.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 pieces eggs Beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning
For assembly
  • 8 slices bacon Smoky variety recommended.
  • 4 pieces pretzel buns Choose your favorite size.
  • as needed lettuce, tomato, and condiments Such as mayonnaise, mustard, etc.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pound each pork chop between two sheets of plastic wrap until thin.
  3. Set up your breading station with three shallow dishes: one for flour, one for the beaten eggs, and the last for breadcrumbs.
  4. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Dredge each chop in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  2. Transfer the cooked chops to a baking sheet and finish cooking in the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  3. In the same skillet, cook the bacon until crispy.
Assembly
  1. Slice the pretzel buns in half and toast them in the oven for a few minutes.
  2. Assemble the sandwiches with a crispy schnitzel on the bottom bun, topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and your choice of condiments. Add the top bun.

Notes

Store leftovers tightly wrapped in plastic wrap or aluminum foil in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. For best texture, reheat schnitzel and bacon in the oven.
