  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced thinly Use boneless, skinless chicken for best results.
  • 12 oz linguine pasta You can substitute another type of pasta if desired.
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter You can use vegan butter for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Coconut cream can be used for a dairy-free version.
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust to taste for spice level.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley For garnish.

Preparation

  • Boil water in a large pot, add the linguine, and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large pan, sauté the chicken in butter until it’s browned. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
  • In the same pan, add the minced garlic, chicken broth, heavy cream, lemon juice, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer.
  • Add the chicken back to the sauce and mix well.
  • Serve the creamy chicken mixture over the cooked linguine and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

This dish is best served hot. Consider adjusting spices to your preference and adding veggies for extra nutrition.
