Ingredients
  

For the Dough
  • 3/4 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 tbsp orange zest Use freshly grated for best flavor.
  • 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cranberries Chop into smaller pieces for added texture, if desired.
  • 3/4 cup salted butter Softened at room temperature.
  • 5-6 tbsp orange juice
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips Can be substituted with dark chocolate or omitted.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the salted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the orange zest and orange juice.
  4. Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the cranberries and white chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Pair with a fresh fruit salad for a light dessert. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
