Ingredients
  

Snack Mixture
  • 3 cups mixed nuts Use a variety of sweet and unsweetened nuts.
  • 1 cup pretzels
  • 1 cup popcorn Popped popcorn works best.
Butter Mixture
  • 1/2 cup butter Make sure it's fully melted.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Topping
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use dark or white chocolate for variation.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mixed nuts, pretzels, and popcorn.
Making Butter Mixture
  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter, and stir in the brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Pour the butter mixture over the snack mixture and stir until well coated.
Baking
  1. Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for about 10-15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  3. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  4. Let cool before breaking into pieces and serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for longer storage. Reheat in a low oven for crispiness.
