  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to use different cheese for variety.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
  • Form the mixture into 6 hamburger patties of even size and thickness, pressing a small dimple in the center of each patty.

Cooking

  • Grill the patties over medium heat, cooking to your preferred doneness using a meat thermometer.
  • For medium-rare, cook to 130-135°F; for medium, cook to 140-145°F; for well-done, cook to 160°F.
  • Let the burgers rest for a few minutes after grilling.

Serving

  • Serve the burgers on hamburger buns with lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayo. Provide a toppings bar for guest customization.

Notes

Letting burgers sit before serving enhances juiciness. You can adjust the seasoning to your taste and add additional toppings like pickles or onions.
