  • cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with pepper jack for a bolder flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined, taking care not to overmix.
  • Form the mixture into 6 hamburger patties, ensuring they are the same size and thickness.
  • Press a small dimple in the center of each patty before grilling to prevent puffing up.

Cooking

  • Grill the patties to your desired doneness using appropriate equipment, flipping carefully.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check internal temperatures: 130-135°F for medium-rare, 140-145°F for medium, 160°F for well-done.
  • Let the burgers rest for a few minutes after grilling.

Serving

  • Serve the burgers on buns topped with lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayo.
  • Set up a topping bar for guests to customize their burgers.

Notes

Store cooked patties in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, use a skillet over medium heat. Uncooked patties can be frozen for up to 3 months.
