Preparation
- Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Mix cream cheese, crab meat, mayonnaise, green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, lemon juice, and mozzarella until well blended.
- Lightly butter one side of each bread slice.
- Spread the crab mixture on the unbuttered side of two slices.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side out.
Cooking
- Toast sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and the cheese melts.
- Let rest briefly, then slice diagonally.
- Serve hot with sweet chili sauce or a crisp salad.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of hot sauce to the crab mixture. You can use different types of bread for a unique twist. To make it more decadent, sprinkle a little extra mozzarella cheese on the outside before toasting.
