These delightful twists on classic cinnamon rolls are filled with sweet cinnamon, rich cocoa, and crushed Oreo cookies, topped with a creamy frosting.

Ingredients
  

Dough and Filling

  • 1 pound frozen bread dough Thaw before use
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it is softened for easy spreading
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies For filling

Frosting

  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 cup heavy cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies For topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven as per the frozen bread dough instructions.
  • In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, cinnamon, and cocoa powder.
  • Roll out the frozen bread dough on a floured surface and spread the softened butter evenly over it.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture and crushed Oreo cookies evenly on top of the dough.
  • Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into individual rolls.
  • Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise until they have doubled in size.

Baking

  • Bake the rolls according to the dough instructions until golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, beat together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, heavy cream, cream cheese, and crushed Oreo cookies to create the frosting.
  • Once the rolls are baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  • Drizzle the frosting over the warm rolls and serve immediately.

Notes

These rolls taste best when served warm straight from the oven. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days, or freeze unbaked rolls.
