  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Chocolate Chips

  • 2 cups chocolate chips Choose your preferred type of chocolate.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  • Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until well combined.
  • Gradually blend in the flour mixture.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
