  • 3 medium medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 small small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1-2 jalapeños, seeds removed (or keep seeds for extra kick), finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lime juice (freshly squeezed) Use fresh lime juice for best flavor.
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • to taste Salt & pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cumin (optional) For extra flavor depth.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine chopped tomatoes, red onion, jalapeños, and cilantro.
  • Add lime juice, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and optional cumin to the bowl.
  • Mix everything well.
  • Let the salsa sit for 10–15 minutes to let the flavors meld together.

Serving

  • Serve fresh with tortilla chips or use it as a topping for tacos, grilled meats, or salads.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store the salsa in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. The flavors will deepen as it sits, enhancing the taste.
