Ingredients
  

For the Spinach Filling
  • 12 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry Ensure to squeeze out excess water.
  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened Let it sit at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder For a spicy flavor, adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
For the Breadsticks
  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza crust, 13.8 oz
  • 2 tablespoons butter Melted for brushing.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or garlic salt Use garlic salt if you prefer a saltier taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the thawed spinach with softened cream cheese until creamy.
  3. Add minced garlic, salt, onion powder, chili powder, pepper, Italian seasoning, grated parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese, and beat until smooth.
Shaping and Baking
  1. Unroll the pizza crust onto parchment paper. Cut the dough into one larger triangle and two smaller triangles.
  2. Spread the spinach dip across the second triangle of dough.
  3. Carefully flip the larger triangle over on top of the dip, forming a sandwich.
  4. Make vertical cuts from the edges towards the center, leaving about an inch uncut in the center.
  5. Twist each slice upwards to form branches of the tree.
  6. Place the shaped tree on a baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Finishing Touches
  1. While the breadsticks bake, melt the butter and stir in Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  2. Once baked, brush the butter mixture over the top and serve warm.

Notes

Pair with marinara sauce or fresh salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
