Ingredients
  

Dough and Filling
  • 1 sheet sheet of pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup fruit preserves (e.g., raspberry or strawberry) Use a thick preserve to prevent spilling.
  • 1 large egg For egg wash
Decorations
  • 1 tube green icing For decoration
  • 1 cup sprinkles For decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust on a lightly floured surface and cut it into tree shapes using a small cookie cutter or knife.
  3. Place a teaspoon of fruit preserves on half of the cut-out trees, leaving a border around the edges.
  4. Place the other half of the cut-out trees on top and press the edges to seal.
  5. Brush the tops with egg wash.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Let cool slightly, then decorate with green icing and sprinkles.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Use a fork to crimp the edges for better sealing. Cleanup can be made easier with parchment paper on the baking sheet. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for up to a month.
