Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until nicely combined.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is mixed well before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually mix these dry ingredients into your wet mixture until fully blended.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly across the surface.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  2. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
  3. Once cooled, carefully cut the brownies into a tree shape.
  4. Decorate your creation with green icing and festive sprinkles to resemble a Christmas tree.
