Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
- Spread the dough into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let it cool before cutting into squares, and keep hidden until ready to serve!
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature, great with ice cream or whipped cream. Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for three months.
