Ingredients
  

Pie Crust
  • 1 pie crust 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
Filling
  • 4 cups 4 cups mixed berries (cranberries, blueberries, raspberries) Feel free to substitute with blackberries or strawberries.
  • 1 cup 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons cornstarch Helps thicken the filling.
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Egg Wash
  • 1 egg 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the berries, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and lemon juice until well combined.
  3. Pour the berry mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  4. Top with another pie crust or create a lattice crust.
  5. Brush the top with the egg wash (combination of egg and milk).
Baking
  1. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the crust is golden brown and filling is bubbling.
  2. Allow the pie to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a flakier crust, keep ingredients cold. Let pie cool completely for cleaner slices. Consider serving with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
