- In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, water, and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Bring the mixture to a boil without stirring until it reaches the hard candy stage (300°F or 150°C).
- Remove from heat and quickly add food coloring and extracts.
- Pour the mixture onto a greased surface or tray.
- Allow it to cool slightly, then score with a knife.
- Once fully cooled, break into pieces and dust with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature away from moisture. Can be frozen for later enjoyment. Use a candy thermometer for best results.
