Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or fork, mixing until you have a texture resembling coarse crumbs.
- Add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing gently until the dough comes together.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll it into a 12-inch square, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Lightly brush the surface with water and sprinkle evenly with brown sugar.
- In a separate bowl, combine the ground cinnamon and granulated sugar, then sprinkle this mixture over the brown sugar.
- Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut the dough into small rectangles or diamond shapes.
- Carefully transfer the pieces to an ungreased baking sheet, separating them slightly.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and crisp.
- Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Storing your Crisps is easy. Place them in an airtight container and keep at room temperature for about a week. For longer storage, freeze them separated by parchment paper.
