  • 1 pkg Saltine crackers Use plain Saltine crackers for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup Butter Must be unsalted.
  • 1 cup Brown sugar Packed lightly for best results.
  • 2 cups Chocolate chips Use your favorite type of chocolate.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the Saltine crackers in a single layer.
Cooking
  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until the mixture is combined and bubbly.
  2. Pour the butter mixture over the crackers, spreading it evenly across the surface.
  3. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  4. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the hot mixture.
  5. Allow it to sit for a few minutes until the chocolate is soft, then spread it evenly over the top.
  6. Let the entire pan cool completely before breaking it into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze in a tightly sealed container. Thaw at room temperature before enjoying.
