Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring they are well incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture until just combined.
- For cookies that require mix-ins, gently fold them in now.
Baking
- Drop rounded tablespoons onto the prepared sheets, spaced adequately apart.
- Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden but centers are soft.
- Allow cooling on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze layered with parchment paper in a freezer bag for up to three months.
