  • 1/2 cup red and green holiday M&Ms or festive sprinkles For a pop of color.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, incorporating each fully before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually blend this dry mixture into your wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in chocolate chips and holiday M&Ms or sprinkles.
  7. Using rounded tablespoons, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes, watching for golden brown edges with soft centers.
  2. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

To keep cookies fresh, store in an airtight container at room temperature. For longer storage, freeze the dough or cookies in layers with parchment paper.
