Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your baking tray to prevent sticking.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add in the flour, rolled oats, and salt. If you’re including nuts, chocolate chips, and vanilla extract, fold them in at this stage.
- Spread the delicious mixture evenly into your prepared baking tray.
Baking
- Slide the tray into the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Once baked, allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze well wrapped.
