  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 cup chocolate frosting for topping
  • 1/2 cup milk for optional chocolate sauce

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, chocolate pudding mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.

Baking

  • Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Serving

  • Once cooled, drizzle the chocolate frosting over the top of the cake. If desired, mix the chocolate frosting with milk to create a pourable chocolate sauce.

Notes

For an even richer flavor, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the batter. You can also sprinkle some chocolate chips into the batter for added texture. Make sure not to overbake the cake, as this can make it dry. Always check for doneness a few minutes before the suggested baking time. To store, wrap tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Keep at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
