Ingredients
  

For the Cake
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate chips optional
For the Chocolate Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, chocolate pudding mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
  3. If desired, fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Making the Chocolate Sauce
  1. In a separate bowl, whip together heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to make the chocolate sauce.
  2. Once the cake is cooled, drizzle the chocolate sauce over the top and serve.

Notes

Serve alongside vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, or a dollop of whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Can be frozen for up to three months.
