Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, chocolate pudding mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Making the Chocolate Sauce
- In a separate bowl, whip together heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to make the chocolate sauce.
- Once the cake is cooled, drizzle the chocolate sauce over the top and serve.
Notes
Serve alongside vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, or a dollop of whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Can be frozen for up to three months.
