Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is smooth.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
- Using a tablespoon, drop mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them a couple of inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are set and have that signature crackled top.
- Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Serve warm with cold milk or vanilla ice cream. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for three months.
