Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted Make sure the butter is fully melted but not too hot.
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour For thicker cookies, add more flour.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Consider adding a pinch of sea salt on top before baking.

Add-ins

  • 2 cups chocolate chips Feel free to use dark chocolate chips or mix-ins like dried fruits.

Baking Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop dollops of cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for several days. Freeze for up to three months and thaw at room temperature before enjoying.
