  • 1/2 cup Packed Brown Sugar

  • 1 large Egg (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Chocolate Chips

  • 1 1/2 cups Unsweetened Chocolate Chips

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In an electric mixer, beat the butter, sugar, and brown sugar together until fluffy. This should take about 3-4 minutes.
  • Reduce the speed and mix in the egg and vanilla.
  • Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl.
  • Slowly combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Drop oversized tablespoon dough balls onto a non-stick baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. After taking them out of the oven, let the cookies continue to cook on the pan for twenty minutes before removing them.

Notes

Chocolate chip cookies are best served warm, right out of the oven. Pair with cold milk or ice cream for a delightful treat. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze with parchment paper between layers.
