Dry Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 0.5 tsp Baking Soda
  • 0.25 tsp Sea Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 0.5 cups Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
  • 0.5 cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • 0.5 cups Sugar
  • 1 large Egg (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Mix-Ins

  • 1.5 cups Unsweetened Chocolate Chips

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In an electric mixer, beat the room temperature butter, sugar, and brown sugar together until fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Reduce the mixer speed, and mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and sea salt.
  • Slowly mix the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop oversized tablespoon-sized dough balls onto a non-stick baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • After taking them out of the oven, let the cookies continue to cook on the pan for twenty minutes before removing them to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, ensure butter is at room temperature and do not overmix the dough. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for about one week.
