Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • cup cornstarch
Wet Ingredients
  • 0.5 cup salted butter Can substitute with unsalted butter and add a pinch of salt.
  • 8 oz cream cheese Must be softened.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Can substitute with white chocolate or butterscotch chips.
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cornstarch.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together the softened butter, cream cheese, and granulated sugar until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and egg until everything is well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently incorporate the chocolate chips into the dough.
  7. Using a spoon, drop dollops of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.
  9. Let the cookies cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Enjoy with vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freeze the cookie dough for longer storage.
