Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced thinly against the grain Chicken thighs can be used for a richer flavor.
  • 1 medium head Napa cabbage, sliced into 1-inch strips
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 3 green onions, sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add a tablespoon of oil, then toss in the sliced chicken. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until it’s cooked through and has a light golden color.
  3. Once the chicken is done, add the minced garlic to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds until it’s fragrant.
  4. Next, throw in the Napa cabbage, shredded carrots, and green onions. Keep stir-frying until the cabbage wilts and the vegetables are tender, which should take about another 4-5 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, either on its own or over rice or noodles for a complete meal.

Notes

Serve in bowls topped with sesame seeds or fresh cilantro. Pair with jasmine rice or noodles for soaking up the sauce. For an extra kick, consider sprinkling some red pepper flakes.
