  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed Rotisserie chicken can be used for convenience.
  • 1.5 cups cooked bacon pieces
  • 1 packet dry ranch-style seasoning
  • 32 ounces frozen tater tots
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Feel free to switch up the cheese for personal preference.
  • 1 cup sour cream Greek yogurt can be substituted.
  • 0.5 cup green onions, chopped

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cooked bacon pieces, ranch seasoning, sour cream, and half the green onions. Stir well until everything is nicely coated.
  3. Grease a baking dish and evenly spread the chicken mixture on the bottom.
  4. Layer the frozen tater tots over the top of the chicken mixture for that crispy texture.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining green onions and cheese generously on top of the tater tots.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese has melted into gooey goodness.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving, then dig in and enjoy!

Notes

For the best flavor, consider adding your favorite vegetables like spinach or bell peppers. For a crispy topping, broil for a few minutes after baking. This dish is also versatile; mix with different proteins or toppings like BBQ sauce or sriracha.
