Ingredients
  

Brownie Base

  • 1 box brownie mix (Duncan Hines Chewy Fudge)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water (room temperature)

Cheesecake Layer

  • 8 ounces cream cheese (room temperature) Ensure it's at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (cold)
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour Fold gently into the cream cheese mixture.

Topping

  • 1 1/2 cups cherry pie filling

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven according to brownie mix package instructions. Grease a baking pan.
  • In a bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and set aside.
  • In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream. Mix until creamy.
  • Fold in the all-purpose flour gently.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer in the pan.
  • Spoon the cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese layer.
  • Use a knife to swirl the cherry filling into the cream cheese layer gently.

Baking

  • Bake according to brownie mix instructions or until a toothpick comes out clean from the brownie base.

Serving

  • Let it cool before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

Store brownies in an airtight container. Can be kept at room temperature for a couple of days or refrigerated for up to a week. For serving, add a dollop of whipped cream for extra treat! Try different fruit toppings for variations.
