Ingredients

Filling Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or plant-based alternative
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
Crust Ingredients
  • 1 pre-made pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Optional Toppings
  • to taste diced tomatoes
  • to taste sliced olives
  • to taste chopped green onions

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water to the skillet with the beef. Stir and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Sprinkle half of each cheese (cheddar and mozzarella) along the edges of the dough to create your stuffed crust.
  6. Spoon the cooked taco meat over the cheese and fold the dough over, pinching the edges to seal everything inside.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Add the remaining cheese on top and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve with salsa, sour cream, and your favorite toppings!

Notes

For a lighter version, swap ground beef for ground turkey. You can customize the cheese mix and add toppings according to preferences.
